Blur Tool

An image privacy tool for blurring sensitive areas of photos, built with Gradio. On a computer you mark areas by hand with a brush, or let YOLO26 (Ultralytics) suggest them as whole objects, exact outlines or faces only, then apply an adjustable Gaussian blur with OpenCV. On a phone you mark areas by tapping the photo instead, since phones can't run the drawing editor. When it runs locally, photos never leave your computer.

How it works

  1. Choose a layout. Phone or Computer is picked from the browser, and you can switch. Phone marks areas by tapping the photo. Computer uses the drawing editor.
  2. Upload a PNG or JPG by drag-and-drop or file picker.
  3. Mark areas with the brush on a computer, by tapping the photo on a phone (each tap marks a circle, with undo), or run Privacy Suggestions in one of three YOLO26 modes. Running it again replaces the previous suggestions without touching your brush strokes or taps.
  4. Set the strength from 10 to 100. It scales with image size, so large photos still end up unreadable.
  5. Apply a Gaussian blur to every marked region with OpenCV.
  6. Download the result as a new PNG.
